John E. Harmon, 77, Lock Haven passed away Thursday April 4, 2024 at the Jersey Shore Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Bronx, NY on March 22, 1947, son of the late Edward and Helene (Basel) Harmon. He lived in Huntington, NY until he moved to Pennsylvania.
John leaves behind a companion, Jill E. Fetzer, they were together over 20 years; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Dar Harmon, Fredericksburg, VA; cousins; and many wonderful friends around the world.
He studied at the School for Visual Arts, NY and attended Hofstra University. After college, he loved working for the NYC transit bus company because he just loved talking to people. When he moved to PA, he worked for CATA transit Bus Company.
John’s lifetime passion was building, restoring custom trains in which he was a lifetime member of the TCA. Also, he loved working, restoring and driving all types of cars.
Family and friends may come to a viewing that will be held Wednesday April 10, 2024; from 11am to 1pm at the Fredrick B. Welker Funeral Home in Jersey Shore, PA. A private family graveside service will be held at the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
